Let the tears start flowing...
I just got back from a surprise gathering at work ... kind of like a Bridal Shower, I suppose. I was TOTALLY surprised. I told my coworker and my boss that I didn't want any kind of "look who's the bride" moments back when I showed them the ring... I really should've known better.
Regardless, it was really nice. Very nice and very thoughtful. I'm so touched... and so blessed. I love how excited everyone is getting. :)
There was cake - with congratulatory wishes to me and S (his name was spelled correctly - yay), cookies, brownies, ice cream, punch... and presents. A card with some moolah was given to me from the division and then my boss gave me this kick arse picture frame that has our names embedded in it - it says my first name, his first name, the wedding date, The LastName's, and on the bottom it says Mr. and Mrs. Stan (not real name if you haven't figured it out yet) LastName. It's REALLY neat. Then another woman that works in the division got me a cat bed for one of the kitties. :)
This is all really happening. It really is. And it's happening to me.
Life can be surreal at times.
